The coronavirus (COVID-19) is taxing all of our medical, social and economic conditions beyond imagined possibilities. As we all work through this crisis, we hope your families are well and adjusting to social distancing as best as possible. Hopefully, you are finding new ways to stay connected and are able to continue to care for your communities. We also wish each employee and business the best chance to navigate successfully through these trying times.

The pandemic has forced entities to shut down in a continuing effort to slow the spread of COVID-19 and to “flatten the curve” of cases in need of acute care.

Effective midnight Tuesday, March 24, 2020, Harris County, Texas has issued a stay at home/work safe order. This means that all of Harris County, including unincorporated areas, must stay at home except for essential tasks and exercise. Also, the order states that designated essential critical infrastructure organizations may remain open.

All must respect 6 foot social distancing wherever possible, while away from home as well as at work.

Gulf Electroquip and our manufacturing plant are designated as critical infrastructure and will remain open while the stay at home/work safe order is in effect. We will maintain our operations at our highest capacity possible to continue our products’ readiness in the supply chain for our county, state and country.

Most importantly, we will continue to follow all guidelines to ensure the safety and security of our employees, customers, vendors and the community for the foreseeable future.
